Lee Herzog

We regret to announce that Lee Herzog passed away in December 2023.  Known in some circles as the ‘Godfather’ of façade access he was instrumental in developing new technologies and safety codes for the façade access industry.  Lee began manufacturing his own equipment in the 70’s and 80’s with Citadel Consulting.  Citadel Consulting morphed into a design firm that eventually led to Lee Herzog Consulting Inc.  For many years Lee sat as Chairman of the ASME A120.1 committee and championed safety protocols for façade access.  His expertise and experience will be missed in the industry and his warmth and mentorship will be missed here at Lee Herzog Consulting Inc.  We will continue to live up to his legacy.

Phil Shumway

Phil Shumway and Lee Herzog worked together from 2003-2009 during the Citadel Consulting years. From 2009 until 2018 Phil started and ran the North American Division of XSPlatforms, a manufacturer of fall protection and facade access equipment. Phil has well rounded experience with every type of equipment to access your building from horizontal lifelines and davit systems to large BMUs.
